Michael Lynn Davis Sr., son of former Centralia Mayor Ray E. and Mina Jean (Jackie Stidham) Davis, passed away Oct. 3, 2018, from complications of an infection that eventually resulted in heart failure. He was born Jan. 30, 1944.
Michael graduated from Centralia High School just a few blocks away from his favorite place on earth, Bill and Bea’s Drive In. Anybody who knew him in the later years knew they could always find his bright red truck there, either before or after (sometimes both) he went to visit his wife of 50 years, Patricia (Janet Ulmer) Davis.
He was a simple man, but Michael worked hard and the love he had for his wife and family was unsurpassed by anyone. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. Michael would never make fun of anyone else, but he would go to no end to make others laugh and have a good time.
He is survived by his amazing wife; four children; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
A simple celebration of life potluck will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday Oct. 21, 2018, at Sharon Care Center, 1509 Harrison Ave., Centralia WA 98531. Anyone who knew him is invited to stop by, grab a bite to eat, pay their respects and hopefully share a funny story or fond memory.
