Jim Elder (Howard James Elder) passed away Dec. 7, 2018, after his short but hard fought battle with brain cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family until his last peaceful breath. Jim was born in Danville, Ill., Jan. 21, 1937.
He was a United States Army veteran and owner of Elder & Associates Realty and Elderly Things Antiques.
Jim is survived by his wife, M. Jane Elder; his children, Jim Elder, Elizabeth Bigelow (Mark Moore), Heather Kelty (Mike), Faith Elder-Johnson, Scott Elder (Mindy); 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; his first wife, Judee Smith; and so very many other good friends and family!
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard P. Elder; stepmother, Vertis Elder; mother, Dorothy Ewing; siblings, Danny Elder and Carol Anne Rhea; and his wife, Pam Elder.
