Jeannette Louise Calvin Ward passed away July 9, 2019, in Lacey, Wash. She was born in Toledo, Wash., Feb. 7, 1926, to Clyde Robert and Ellen Rachel (McClanahan) Calvin, and was the eldest child of four. Roberta Ellen, Elsie May and Clyde Lacey followed.
Jeannette’s husband of 66 years, Alfred Franklin Ward, preceded her in death; as did their daughter, Melinda Jane; granddaughter, Kara Lynn Kerksick; and grandson, Jeffery Calvin Lyon.
She is survived by her sisters, Roberta and Elsie; her brother, Clyde and his wife, Carol; her daughters, Karen Ellenor Merrill (Jim), Joan Carol Wright (Greg) and Denise Marie; grandchildren, Kristopher, Chad, Jake, Jesse, Lindsey, Emma, Susannah Erica; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Kendra, Arayla, Zayne, Preston, Jolene, Levi, Fayth, Silas, Casper, Orson, Oliver, Miles, Zoe and Josie.
