James Clarke, 93, passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, at Providence Centralia Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack H. and Sarah Rebecca Clarke; as well as his six siblings; and his two wives; Helen and Ruth.

He will be greatly missed by his three children, Fred Clark, Sue Sjolund and Jim Clark; as well as numerous grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and friends.

During his lifetime, Jim was a United States Navy sailor, retired pipe fitter, business man, bartender and a chef. He was hardworking and adventurous, with a big heart and an easy laugh.

There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Claquato Cemetery in Chehalis, Wash. A celebration of life will follow at 1 p.m., at the American Legion Post 17 in Centralia, Wash.

Jim was very proud of his work with the Moose Lodge and the American Legion, where he was the commander for several years. Special thanks to Deb and Rick Hamilton, Dick Baker and the American Legion Post 17.
