Frances Elizabeth Morgan, 82, of Curtis, Wash., passed away as a result of cardiovascular disease and congestive heart failure Feb. 18, 2018, at home under the care of her four daughters.

She was born Jan. 13, 1936, in Van Alstyne, Texas.

Frances was a 1954 graduate of Howe High School. She transplanted to Washington State upon marrying William Henry Morgan in 1961, and lived the life of a United States Air Force wife, until 1967, when her husband left the Air Force and moved back to Washington State and settled in the Boistfort Valley.

She stayed in the area and raised her four girls and then helped with her grandchildren. Frances enjoyed shopping for antiques, gardening, reading, watching television, giving out advice and was a Baw Faw Grange member for 50 years. She worked at the Boistfort School District for 23 years beginning in 1977, as a dishwasher, then as a custodian and retired in 2001, as a teacher's aide supervising recess and working with special needs students. Frances really valued both the student and adult relationships she made while working at the school. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters; Elizabeth Kay Senderak (Kevin), Jana Lee Morgan, Jill Marie Walrath (Eric) and Sheila Rae Goodrich (Carl); seven grandchildren; 21 nieces and nephews; and the following siblings; Alma June Davis, Betty Lois Hearn, Stanley Wayne "Bo" Smith, and Rita Sue Thompson.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Morgan; parents, Hattie Elizabeth (Adams) and James Grady Smith; and siblings, Horace Hansel Smith, Billy Bob Smith, James Wallace "Bouley" Smith, Jenny Joyce Drake, Sandra Glen Burke and GradyLene McKnight.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boistfort Valley Fire Department, P.O. Box 16, Curtis, WA 98532. As per Frances' request, there will be no memorial service. Comments and memories can be shared on Cattermole Funeral Home's website at cattermolefh.com.
