Elsie Rena Margaret Bickar, 96, passed away April 14, 2019, in Centralia, Wash. She was born Feb. 27, 1923, in Wray, Colo., the youngest of seven children to John A. and Mary Ann (Redden) Weiher.

Later, she worked at several restaurants in the Castle Rock and Longview areas. Elsie did this until Mount St. Helens erupted in 1980. The family then moved to Centralia, where she worked at King Solomon’s Restaurant, retiring at 75.

Elsie was happiest when she was watching the Seahawks and Mariners on television.
