Eleanor Ann Ethridge

Eleanor Ann Ethridge, 81, of Chehalis, Wash., passed away Oct. 21, 2017, at Providence Centralia Hospital. She was born in Keewatin, Minn., to Eric and Monica Tappe, Dec. 7, 1935.

After high school, Eleanor enrolled in beauty school, then later, continued education and became a licensed certified nursing assistant. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chehalis, where she taught Sunday school. Eleanor was a past president of the Emblem Club and also a member of the Daughters of the Lewis County Pioneers.  

She met Robert “Bobby Jack” in 1962, and they were married in Seattle. Together, they were married for 34 years.

Eleanor was preceded in death, by her husband, Robert;  parents, Eric and Monica; four brothers, Vincent, Ambrose, Clifford and Dewayne; four sisters, Veronica, Avenil,  Vivian and Sharon.    

She is survived by her children, Tina M. Ethridge and Denise May Hopkins; sisters, Monica Buzzelli, Lois Lindquist and Shirley Poirer; brother, Rodney Tappe; grandson, Nickalaus and wife, Amy Parodi; great-grandchildren, Gina, Olari and Marcus.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2195 Jackson Highway, Chehalis, Wash.
