Donald John Wallace

Don passed away Dec. 6, 2018, peacefully in his home “his way”. He was born in Toledo, Wash., to Forrest Wallace and Louise Calvin. Don was the oldest of seven siblings, Marylou, Ronnie, Gail, Dale Lee, May and Ralland.

Don loved the outdoors and you always knew where to find him, outside on the land that he loved. In his early years, Don formed Wallace Bros. Construction with his partner and brother, Dale Wallace and built roads until he retired. He then became many things, a farmer, an avid bird collector and a mentor to many.

Don was a living example of unconditional love and supported the community he lived in. He was also known to be a little “naughty", always with a twinkle in his blue eyes and a smile on his face. He had many passions in his life, including his flowers, gardens and flirting with every woman he met, both old and new!

He loved politics and especially loved the many controversies he could create by talking about them in public places even more.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Wallace.

His spirit is carried on by his children, Randy Wallace, Brian Baimbridge, Brenda Wallace Kuehner, Holly Wallace and James Wallace; along with numerous grandchildren, all of which he loved and touched deeply.

Please join us celebrating his life Dec. 15, 2018, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., at The Barn, located at 3605 Jackson Highway, Chehalis, WA 98532. Arrangements are under the care of Cattermole Funeral Home.
