Claudette “Claudia” Ellis Schrank passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at a hospice facility in Longview, Wash. Claudia was born Oct. 4, 1937, in Centralia to Dean and Dorothy Ellis. She graduated from Centralia High School in 1955.

She married Bob Mocan and they had three children, Andy (Tami) of Morton, Wash., Keith (Nora) of Battle Ground, Wash., and Julie (Jim) of Mineral, Wash. She also has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Claudia later married Ed Schrank, a truck driver for local and long haul. She loved traveling the roads with him. Claudia picked up the “CBer” lingo and frequently described her birthday as a “10-4 good buddy”. Claudia and Ed settled in the Kennewick area where many of Ed’s family lived. She always had a puppy for company and flowers to care for. Claudia made many friends wherever she lived. This was evident by the number of friends and family that visited during her recent lengthy hospital stay.

Claudia is survived by her children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren, many special friends; special cousins “the Turner kids”, Ralph and Kitty Turner, Betty Turner Morris of Chehalis, Bea Turner Clark of Salem, Ore., and Nancy Turner of Centralia.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
