The Thurston County commissioners’ meetings will be live-streamed on the county’s YouTube channel beginning Tuesday with the commissioners’ weekly meeting.
Commissioners’ meetings, Board of Health meetings and public hearings will be live-streamed. The meetings will also be recorded so they are available to watch at any time.
“We heard from residents that it can be a hardship for them to make it to the courthouse to attend the board meetings and public hearings,” said Commission Chairman Bud Blake in a press release. “We worked with Thurston Community Media to link from the recording system in our board room to YouTube so we can live-stream our meetings and hopefully ease some of the burden of our residents.”
