CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Strikes Hydrant

• At 2:49 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue after a vehicle collided with a fire hydrant.

Police Arrest Motorist for Suspended License

• At 10:34 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 400 block of West Maple Street and cited Jenisia C. Precour, 35, of Centralia on suspicion of driving with a suspended license. 

Man Arrested on Two Theft Warrants

• At 7:51 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 100 block of West Maple Street and arrested Shaun P. Reese, 34, of Longview on two warrants for third-degree theft.

Burglar Ransacks Apartment

• At 11:49 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1400 block of Johnson Road to investigate an unlocked apartment that was ransacked by an unknown person.

Man Arrested on Malicious Mischief Charge

• At 12:20 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1300 block of North Pearl Street and arrested Scott N. Edwards, 36, of Centralia on suspicion of committing third-degree malicious mischief and interfering with reporting of domestic violence.

 Theft

• At 3:12 p.m. Friday, a theft of medication was reported in the 900 block of E Street.

Man Booked for Suspended License

• At 6:14 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1200 block of Alder Street and arrested Henry H. Montealegre, 32, of Centralia on suspicion of driving on a suspended license. 

Police Book Man for Heroin Possession

• At 10:01 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue and arrested Jarrod R.V. Phillipi, 27, of Centralia on suspicion of possession of heroin and on an outstanding warrant.

Man Arrested on Suspicion of Domestic Violence

• At 4:02 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road and arrested Andrew J. Bustamante, 25, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree domestic violence and interfering with domestic violence reporting.

Woman Booked for Domestic Violence

• At 9:04 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1200 block of Ward Street and arrested Debra A. Snyder, 45, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence and resisting arrest.

Missing Person Reported

• At 9:44 p.m. Sunday, police received a report of a missing person from the 100 block of West Maple Street. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Michael J. Kurtz, 55, of Centralia should contact the Centralia Police Department.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Vacant House’s Door Found Open

• At 11:55 a.m. Friday, police received a report from the 1500 block of Southwest Johnson Avenue of a vacant house that had a wide open back door. The caller advised that it wasn’t that way the night before, and it looked like the house had been ransacked.

Caller Reports Woman Exposing Herself in Park



• At 6:34 p.m. Friday, police received a report from the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street of a woman who was walking around the park flashing people.

Woman Tells Caller She’s Being Watched

• At 2:27 p.m. Friday, police received a report from the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue of a woman who appeared nervous and advised the caller “she was being forced to do something she didn’t want to also that she didn’t know … if she was being watched.”

Police Called After Man Seen Yelling at Woman

• At 8:51 p.m. Friday, police were alerted to a man yelling at a woman in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard. The woman appeared to be afraid of the man, stated the caller.

Person Reported Throwing Beer Can Out Vehicle Window

• At 7:56 p.m. Saturday, a caller in the 2100 block of North National Avenue reported a black vehicle drove past and threw a beer can at the caller.

Two People Attempt to Steal Car

• At 9:09 p.m. Saturday, police were advised that two males jumped a fence and were attempting to steal a car that was locked in a storage unit.

Man Attempts to Flash Caller

• At 9:29 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a call in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue of a male “attempting to flash his genitals.”

Transient Male Chases Two People

• At 1:02 a.m. Sunday, police received a report from the 500 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way of a transient male with a dog chasing people.

Evidence of Attempted Burglary Found at House

• At 8:37 p.m. Sunday, a caller in the 400 block of Southwest Williams Avenue reported that it appeared someone tried to kick in their front door.

LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Burglaries

• At 10:59 a.m. Friday, a burglary was reported at a mini-storage in the 1500 block of Bishop Road, Chehalis. No items were listed as stolen.

• At 8:43 a.m. Saturday, a burglary was reported in the 1100 block of E Street, Vader. There was evidence of forced entry, but no items appeared to be stolen.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 247 inmates with 218 in general population and 29 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 172 were male and 46 were female and of WERC inmates, 25 were male and four were female. A total of 42 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
