Sirens: Rochester Teen Cited After Crash; Man Arrested for Harassment, Alleged Assault on Officer; Woman Found With Meth After Reported ‘Huffing Canned Air’

Centralia Police Department

Mail Stolen

• At 10:52 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft of outgoing mail in the 1700 block of North Tower Avenue. 

Centralia Man Arrested for Warrants, Drugs

• At 2:20 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the 200 block of West Main Street and arrested Kelvin B. Kempf, 31, of Centralia, on an outstanding warrant. Kempf was also arrested on suspicion of possession of heroin and morphine. 

License Plate Stolen

• At 6:54 p.m. on Friday, a license plate was reported stolen in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. The plate was stolen off a parked vehicle. 

Chehalis Man Booked on Protection Order Violation

• At 10:04 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a location at the intersection of Harrison and Railroad avenues and arrested Ramiro Estrada Adams, 32, of Chehalis, on suspicion of violation of a protection order. He was allegedly found with a person he was prohibited from contacting. 

Driver Booked for Physical Control DUI

• At 10:16 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the 2800 block of Russell Road and arrested Maynor E. Alverto Diaz, 21, of Centralia, on suspicion of physical control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was reportedly in a stopped vehicle that “lunged forward” and collided with a building causing damage, according to the police department. 

Burglary Reported

• At 10:29 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a burglary in the 500 block of North Ash Street. The incident reportedly took place overnight when the victims were away. 

Rochester Teen Cited After Crash

• At 2:25 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a vehicle collision at the intersection of First and Pearl streets in Centralia. Jennifer Arevalo Martinez, 18, of Rochester, was cited on suspicion of driving without a license or ID after being involved in a two-vehicle collision. Her vehicle reportedly failed to stop at a red light and hit another vehicle. 

 Vancouver Resident Booked on Drug Charge

• At 4:18 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Marta D. Keeth, 45, of Vancouver, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

Rochester Man Caught Huffing Aerosol Spray

• At 7:59 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the intersection of First Street and Tower Avenue in Centralia and arrested Aaron J. Henning, 28, of Rochester, on suspicion of inhaling toxic fumes. Henning reportedly was in possession of a container of canned air and admitted to “taking a couple hits from it and exhibited symptoms of being under the influence,” according to the police department. 

DUI

• At 10:53 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested Jay Blevins, 52, of Centralia, on suspicion of hit and run and driving under the influence. He allegedly left the scene of a collision and when contacted by police appeared to be under the influence.  

Man Arrested for Harassment, Alleged Assault on Officer

• At 8:52 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 500 block of West Main Street and arrested Michael L. Hensley, 37, a transient, on suspicion of harassment for allegedly threatening to kill another person. He was also arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault for allegedly grabbing one of the arresting officer’s hands, and cutting him with his fingernails. 



Chehalis Police Department

Disorderly Man Reported

• At 11:01 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of disorderly conduct in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A man reportedly was yelling at employees at a business and tried to start a fight. No arrests were reported. 

Woman Found With Meth After Reported ‘Huffing Canned Air’

• At 3:43 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the 500 block of South Market Boulevard after getting a report of a woman “huffing canned air” in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Police arrested Sarah A. Gee, 28, of Toledo, on an outstanding warrant and on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.  

Mossyrock Theft Suspect Booked

• At 10:25 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the 1600 block of Louisiana Avenue for a report of a theft. Danielle R. Hart, 27, of Mossyrock, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft for allegedly taking $236.88 in merchandise. 

Thefts Reported

• At 9:11 a.m. on Saturday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 300 block of Northwest State Avenue. A person reportedly grabbed an item and left the store without paying. 

• At 1:52 p.m. on Sunday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard. A man reportedly shoplifted an item, then opened the package in the store’s bathroom. No arrests were reported. 

Trespassers Reported

• At 9:38 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to a location on Southwest Eighth Street in Chehalis and cited Joaquin V. Perraz, 42, of Chehalis, on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespass. He was released at the scene.

• At 5:26 a.m. on Monday, trespassers were reported in the 2100 block of North National Avenue. 

Hit and Run

• At 10:51 p.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 1600 block of Southwest Wilson Avenue. 

Truck Possibly Stolen

• At 5:53 a.m. on Monday, a 1989 GMC Sierra truck was reported stolen in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue. The alleged victim reported he parked it in front of a “no parking” sign but dispatch did not have a record it was towed. 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total population of 241 inmates, with 209 in general population, 31 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 169 were men and 40 women and of WERC inmates, 29 were male and two women. A total of 37 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
