An online business directory has appeared on various Facebook community forums under the name “Port of Winlock.”
The “Port of Winlock” is not a government entity, and is not affiliated with Lewis Economic Development Council. It is an online business directory for local businesses that was created by a local Winlock man.
“My wife and I moved into Winlock a couple years ago and we saw a need for the local businesses,” said owner Dennis Guilliams. “...We wanted to start a business that would be an online directory for local businesses, looking forward to (the Winlock industrial site).”
Guilliams said that after the website launches, business owners can list their business on his site for free. Business owners will also be able to upgrade with the site by purchasing ads on the front page.
The site intends to work with businesses in Winlock, Toledo, Vader and Napavine. Eventually, Guilliams plans to extend the site’s coverage to all of Lewis County. While the site was supposed to launch Nov. 2, a Facebook post on the Port of Winlock Facebook page said the launch date has been delayed.
