On Friday morning, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office released a sketch of a man and description of another man they believe may have information on the disappearance of Logan Schiendelman.
Det. Frank Frawley told The Olympian that the the sketch and descriptions were generated by a new tip for the case. Schiendelman, a Tumwater High School graduate, was 19 when he was last seen on Friday, May 20, 2016. His black Chrysler Sebring convertible was found on the inside shoulder of southbound Interstate 5, between Tumwater, Maytown and the Scattercreek Rest Area.
According to the Sheriff’s Office: A woman said she saw Schiendelman’s black convertible on the right shoulder of I-5 southbound by Exit 95 in the morning on her way to work. When she was returning home for the day, the vehicle was in the same spot but its hood was open.
The woman said she noticed a black man she believed to be Schiendelman at the rear of the vehicle with two other men.
One of the men was described as white, six-foot-tall, very thin, thin blond hair with a bowl cut. He was wearing jeans that were too short and a tank top that was too small.
The other man was also white, with shoulder-length blonde hair. He was wearing a flannel shirt and jeans. Frawley said the woman’s view of the second man was from the side, which is why a sketch wasn’t released.
“She didn’t get a good look at him,” he said.
Anyone who thinks they can identify the men is asked to call Frawley at 360-786-5599.
In fact, anyone with information that might be connected to the case is asked to report it, Frawley said.
“We’ll work any tip,” he said.
