New Overeaters Anonymous Club Opens in Lewis County

Those who struggle with eating disorders such as compulsive overeating, food addiction, binge eating or anorexia are invited to join a new chapter of Overeaters Anonymous, which recently launched in Lewis County.

The group follows the 12 step program and provides a support system for those who struggle with eating issues.

The group meets at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesdays at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1209 Scheuber Road North, Centralia.

Roxanne Armstrong started the program in July. Currently there are two to six people who attend each week, but Armstrong would like to extend an invitation to others who may be interested.

Armstrong herself lost 100 pounds five years ago. She said it helped her overcome five chronic conditions.
