Lewis County will mark 25 years of service at the Central Transfer Station in Centralia with a celebration on March 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Refreshments and prizes will be provided, and staff will be available to answer questions.
Since the station opened following the closure of the Centralia landfill, the county has processed nearly 1.3 million tons of refuse. The station is located at 1411 S. Tower Ave. Additional information is available by calling 360-740-1451.
