Ruth Gutierrez, executive director of the Housing Resource Center of Lewis County, will be the featured speaker at the meeting.  Gutierrez will discuss homelessness in Lewis County and nationally.

“She will also address some myths regarding homelessness and ways interested people can make a positive difference,” according to a press release from the group.

The National Center on Family Homelessness reports 2.5 million children or one in every 30 children are currently homeless each year in the United States.

The program is open to the public and begins at 6:45 p.m. at the Gathering Place at Stillwaters Estates on Cooks Hill Rd.  For more information call or text 360-520-0148.
