An informational meeting on the new Boys and Girls Club of Tenino will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Tenino Elementary School multipurpose room.
The Tenino branch of the club will open at the elementary school for the 2016-17 school year, according to a press release.
The club will offer programs in character and leadership development; education and career development; the arts; and sports, fitness and recreation.
“The programs are designed to meet the physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs and interests of all our members,” stated the release.
Tentative hours of operation during the school year will be from 2:50 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday after school, and from 6:30 to 8:15 a.m.
The after-school program runs from September to June. An annual membership is $25. The early bird program is $95 per month and runs from September to August.
