The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Banquet Friday, where it awarded the coveted “Business of the Year” and “Evergreen” awards, and announced the new board of directors.

The Chamber awarded I-5 Auto Group the Business of the Year award and owner Heidi Pehl invited her staff to join her on stage.

“Sometimes the things you never even dream of are the best gift of all,” Pehl said. “I have loved every minute of the journey, most of all the friendships I’ve made, the people I share my days with every day and each and every customer I have the pleasure to deal with and the honor to take care of. On top of this, the ability to give back to our community and help our young people is truly a bonus.”

Peter Wagner, DMD, received the Evergreen award. Wagner opened his private practice Wagner Orthodontics in Lewis County in 1995. He and his wife Julie met in high school in Adna. They raised their three sons in Chehalis. The Chamber awards the Evergreen award every other year.

The Chamber also introduced its 2019 board of directors.
