A feature film set in the 1960s will be filming scenes in Lewis County in early December, and the filmmakers are looking for extras to be in the background.

The film will be at several locations in Western Washington from Dec. 4 through Dec. 8, including at the Mayfield Dam. Six extras will be needed at the dam, as well as two pedestrians.

Those interested need to send their name and contact information, including phone number, sizes, recent color photos and the area of Washington they live in to foregroundbackground@gmail.com.

The film is set in the 1960s. It follows a famous neurologist in the decline of his career and a shy young man he brings with him on a tour of mental hospitals. The young man becomes infatuated with a patient and her father who is immersed in the surreal, New Age movement of the west, according to casting director Denise Gibbs.
