Chehalis Renaissance Team to Lead 'Opportunity Tour' in Downtown Area

Posted

On Oct. 18, the Chehalis Community Renaissance Team will conduct an “Opportunity Tour” that will visit vacant buildings and spaces available for sale and lease. The tour of downtown Chehalis is intended to spur economic activity in the heart of the Mint City.

“We’re excited to go inside these buildings, hear from the owners and provide the opportunity for folks to brainstorm the possibilities these spaces have to offer,” wrote Executive Director Annalee Tobey in a press release. “Things are happening downtown, from new murals, banners and bike racks to investments in building facades and fiber optic lines. Together we are moving our community forward. Introducing folks to the vacant spaces we have available and filling up downtown buildings is key to this process of growth.”

The tour is a part of the CCRT’s overall work plan, which aims to include projects and initiatives that promote community building, economic development, quality design, traffic and parking improvement, and growth of the downtown corridor.

The tour will begin at 4 p.m. from 60 NW Boistfort St. in front of the CCRT office. Walk-ups are welcome. Additional information is available by emailing annalee@experiencechehalis.com or by calling the CCRT office at 360-345-1738.
