The Chehalis Community Renaissance Team has introduced a pilot program that will provide $10,000 in facade improvement grants in the downtown area.

These grants will have a 50 percent match up to $2,500 per business property. The purpose is to help downtown businesses and property owners to improve their storefronts. Applications will be reviewed and rewarded by the Renaissance Team as early as June 23. Applications will be accepted as long is funding is available through the end of the year.

“This is one step in a process of downtown improvements bringing developers and new businesses to our downtown,” Renaissance Team Executive Director Annalee Tobey said in a press release. “Attracting consumers and building employment and business density is essential to the success of Downtown Chehalis.”
