This weekend is a great time to head out to a pumpkin patch.

Centralia’s Seedpod Farm has scheduled a harvest festival and craft fair for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2330 Howard Avenue in Centralia.

The event will feature cider making, apples, pumpkins, honey tasting, crafts, preserves, soaps, textiles, homesteading demonstrations, activities for children and music from Prairie Fire Band.

This year’s festival will also include a scarecrow competition, with a $50 gift certificate toward a Seedpod Farm-raised turkey for Thanksgiving.
