Cowlitz County Detectives Make Arrest in Fake Money Case

LONGVIEW (AP) — Cowlitz County sheriff's detectives have arrested a man they suspect of making counterfeit money to use at the Clark County Fair, which opens Friday.

The Columbian reports (http://is.gd/6kp3Vj ) that the investigation indicated the man was manufacturing high-quality money and had used as much as $20,000 of it to buy drugs and pay off debts recently. An informant told officers the man was making a new batch of cash to be distributed at the fair.



Deputies found a printer, linen paper, forged currency and drug paraphernalia in a Longview home after serving a search warrant.

They say 34-year-old Jeremiah J.H. Anderson was arrested Wednesday night for investigation of forgery.
