Sirens: Heroin Bust, Indecent Exposure, Youth Driving Badly

Centralia Police Department 

Heroin Bust

• Panther W. Risling, 25, Centralia, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and possession of heroin on the 1200 block of Alder Street at 9:31 a.m. Tuesday.

Writing Bad Checks

• Someone reported at 9:37 a.m. Tuesday fraudulent checks being written at a bank on the 200 block of North Pearl Street in Centralia.  The case is being investigated.

Theft

• Austin N. Humphrey, 19, Chehalis, was cited and released for third-degree theft on the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at 8:14 p.m. Tuesday. 

DUI

• Nicholas A. Rickart, 33, Centralia, was arrested and booked into jail for suspicion of driving under the influence and hit and run on the 1300 block of Central Boulevard at 8:18 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Chehalis Police Department

Refusal to Leave

• A man sleeping in the dining room of a business on the 100 block of Interstate Avenue “just kinda looked at them” when employees tried to get him to leave at 9:05 a.m. Monday. 

Bloody Arrow

• A man called police after finding a bloody arrow in his yard by his mailbox at 10:20 a.m. Monday. He said the arrow wasn’t there the day before. 

Indecent Exposure

• Keenan R. Ekegren, 30, of La Push, was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure on the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at 11:27 a.m. Monday. Ekegren walked into another person’s room, exposed his genitals, then came back and did it again.

Youth Driving Badly

•  A caller on the 1000 block of Southwest William Avenue reported that high school kids were racing down the road around 3:25 p.m. Monday. She yelled at the two drivers who each did burnouts before driving away. One of them stopped, backed up and did another burnout near the caller. 

Potty Mouth on Market

•  A woman in a pink shirt and black pants was reportedly cussing people out on the 500 block of South Market Boulevard at 5:51 p.m. Monday. She wasn’t wearing shoes but had a shopping cart. She later went into a restaurant on the 100 block of South Market Boulevard and made threats to people.

Violent Resident

•  A resident in a care facility on the 2000 block of Southwest Salsbury Avenue was reported to be “hitting everyone” 7:41 p.m. Monday. No one was injured, nor were any arrests made.

Vigilant Dog Worries Owner

• A caller reported his dog barked twice in an hour at something outside at 9:17 a.m. Tuesday on the 800 block of Southwest Fifth Street. The caller couldn't see anything but did hear two “bump noises.” 

Dead Deer

• A person reported a dead deer across from their house on the 700 block of Southwest Moonlight Lane at 4:56 p.m. Tuesday. Washington Fish and Wildlife told the person it was shot with a powerful rifle. The caller was concerned for public safety.

Difficult Repo

• A person trying to repossess a vehicle on the 1000 block of South Market Boulevard stopped and drove away when a person came out of the house with a hatchet at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday. No arrests were made. 

Check Forger Threatens Man

•  A man in the City Hall parking lot called police just before 7 p.m. Tuesday and reported someone who owed him money wrote him a forged check on a closed account. When he tried to get his money the man threatened to “beat him up. 

Naked in the Bushes

• A man called police at 11 p.m. Tuesday to report a naked man sitting in the bushes on the 200 block of Interstate Avenue near the welcome sign of a business. The naked man then ran around the building before disappearing.
