Volunteer Meeting for Discover! Children’s Museum
The new children’s museum being built in Chehalis is looking for volunteers to help operate the museum when it opens early next month. The museum will open on Feb. 9 for a six-month trial run to gauge community interest and support.
A volunteer orientation meeting will be held this Thursday at 7 p.m. at the still-under-construction museum, 1461 N.W. Louisiana Ave., Chehalis, in the Twin City Town Center.
The meeting will focus on staffing for volunteers to operate the register, supervise the museum space, interact with guests and be overall ambassadors for the museum, according to Director Jim Valley.
