A road rage incident in Chehalis led to a hit and run collision and a man pulling down his pants and exposing his buttocks to the driver he was feuding with Saturday afternoon in the Grocery Outlet parking lot.

The road rage incident began when the suspect, identified as Brett T. Watkins, 36, of Hoodsport, pulled in front of the victim’s car in the parking lot at about 3:30 p.m., said Sgt. Gary Wilson from the Chehalis Police Department.

The female driver and Watkins started yelling at each other, which resulted in Watkins pulling down his pants and mooning the woman, Wilson said.

When the man got back into the car and drove away, the woman drove after him in an attempt to get the license plate number, Wilson said. Watkins then allegedly stopped, backed up and struck the woman’s vehicle. He drove away before police responded.

Police learned the driver’s identity through his license plate. Officers showed his Department of Licensing photo to the victim, Wilson said.
