A level three sex offender and a level one sex offender have recently registered to live as transients in Thurston County.

Ronald A. Long was found guilty in Thurston County Juvenile Court of first-degree child molestation in 1993, according to a press release from the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office. The conviction and 76-week sentence stemmed from Long, at age 17, sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.

Two years later, Long was again convicted of first-degree child molestation and sentenced to 31 months confinement, according to the release. The second conviction was for Long, at age 15, sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy.

Long, a level three sex offender, is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall, 185 pounds, and has blue eyes and blond hair.

Tyson E. Edgbert, a level one sex offender, pleaded guilty in Thurston County Juvenile Court to first-degree child molestation in 1991 after he, at age 13, engaged in sexual contact with two 6-year-old girls, according to a press release from the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

Edgbert was sentenced to 30 days confinement and two years of community supervision, according to the release.

He is described as a 5-foot-10, 165-pound white man with brown hair and brown eyes.

Neither Long or Edgbert are wanted at this time. A notification is required when a sex offender registers to live in a county without a permanent address.
