Grand Opening Event Sept. 20 for Toledo Community Library, TRL Kiosk

Members of the Toledo community are invited to a grand opening event for the Timberland Regional Library kiosk at the Toledo Community Library, which recently opened.

TRL staff installed the kiosk along with a book drop box at the library, 241 Cowlitz St. Friends of the Toledo Library has supplied volunteers to work the desk at the community library, which features books and magazines donated by residents and members of the community.

The kiosk contains two computer stations, with one providing access to the TRL library catalog, website and reference databases; the other computer gives people an opportunity to check out items that were put on hold that had been delivered to the library.



The free community gathering takes place 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20. Cake and refreshments will be provided, and staff will be on hand to provide opportunities to sign up for a library card and also teach people how to use the new kiosk.
