A 70-year-old Oregon man sustained minor injuries after his ultralight airplane made a crash landing at the Chehalis-Centralia Airport Saturday afternoon.

The pilot told responding police that prior to takeoff everything on his plane was in good working order.

Once he was in the air, he lost stability and made a crash landing shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday, according to Chehalis Police. The pilot, from Rainier, Ore., sustained only minor scrapes and cuts. He was not hospitalized.

The plane sustained a damaged wing, propeller and wheel, according to Chehalis police. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
