Annual ‘Wreaths of Hope’ Event To Take Place At Fairgrounds

Posted

The annual Wreaths of Hope event in the Twin Cities will take place from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds for the first time since it began in 2005.

Free to the public, people can craft their own holiday wreath while listening to live music and browsing vendors set up in the exhibition hall underneath the grandstands. The event is meant to raise awareness of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a rare neuromuscular disorder that affects muscles around the spinal cord.

Students from Centralia and Chehalis are gathering Monday at Hub City Supply in Centralia to make wreaths that will be available for sale at the Wreaths of Hope event. For more information, search “wreaths of hope” on eventbrite.com or on social media.
