Vehicle Fire in Adna Extinguished

A good Samaritan extinguished the flames of a vehicle fire on Wednesday morning before fire units made it to the scene.

Lewis County Fire District 6 responded to reports of a vehicle fire at Curtis Hill Road and Curtis Hill Road East just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Initial reports indicated there was visible smoke and flames coming from near the gas tank of a small pickup truck. All of the occupants were out of the vehicle.

When the fire chief arrived, there was no smoke or flames coming from the vehicle. The driver stated that a passerby had extinguished the flames while fire units were responding. Other responding units were canceled.

There were no injuries reported.
