Sirens: Juvenile Arrested on Robbery Charge After Alleged Theft of Phone, Assault; Hit and Run; Assault by Juvenile on Officer Reported at Lewis County Juvenile Facility

Identity Theft

• At 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of identity theft in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue. 

• At 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, identity theft was reported in the 1100 block of J Street. 

Graffiti Reported

• At 12:18 p.m. on Tuesday, graffiti was reported on a building in the 500 block of North Gold Street. 

License Plate Taken

• At 2 p.m. on Tuesday, a license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of B Street. 

DUIs

• At 7:55 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested Jence S. Sawyer, 28, of Chehalis, on suspicion of driving under the influence. 

• At 11:48 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 900 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Frederick E. Keehn, 34, of Tumwater, on suspicion of DUI. 

• At 12:39 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 300 block of West Fourth Street and arrested David K. Crane, 62, of Napavine, was arrested on suspicion of DUI. 

Juvenile Arrested on Robbery Charge After Alleged Theft of Phone, Assault

• At 12:08 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road and arrested a juvenile suspect on suspicion of first-degree robbery. The juvenile was accused of assaulting a person and stealing their phone.  

Assault Suspects Arrested

• At 10:54 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 900 block of K Street and arrested Erich D. Saas, 48, of Centralia, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. 

• At 9:48 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 3500 block of Steelhammer Drive and arrested Christopher R. Brake, 31, of Tennessee, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. 

Assault Reported

• At 8:56 p.m. on Wednesday, a woman reported she was assaulted by her husband in the 1700 block of Harrison Avenue. 

Accused Trespasser Arrested

• At 1:28 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 300 block of North Gold Street and arrested Elizabeth J. A. Lovato, 35, of Centralia, on suspicion of trespassing. 

Chehalis Police Department

Hit and Run

• At 11:57 a.m. on Tuesday, a hit and run was reported in the 1700 block of South Market Boulevard. The incident reportedly took place on Dec. 27. 

Wallet Stolen

• At 12:34 p.m. on Tuesday, a wallet was reported stolen in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A woman reported she left her purse in an aisle and when she came back for it her wallet was gone. 

Assault by Juvenile on Officer Reported at Lewis County Juvenile Facility

• At 12:44 p.m. on Tuesday, a custodial assault was reported at Lewis County Juvenile Detention in the 1200 block of Southwest Pacific Avenue. The juvenile reportedly kicked the officer three times. The juvenile involved was reportedly a 13-year-old Chehalis boy. 

 

Theft

• At 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street. 

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

• At 5:39 p.m. on  Tuesday, a stolen vehicle was reportedly recovered at the intersection of McFadden Avenue and Sixth Street. 

 

Juvenile Suspect of Theft

• At 11:34 p.m. on Tuesday, a theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A juvenile was identified as a suspect. No arrest was reported. 

 

Vicious Dog Reported

• At 1:41 p.m. on Thursday, a person reported their son was walking in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue and was bitten by a dog. 

 

Scam Reported

• At 5:43 p.m. on Thursday, a person reported a gift card scam in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

 

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 191 inmates, including 162 in general population and 28 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 131 were male and 32 female and of WERC inmates, 26 were male and two female.
