Friends of the driver identified her Friday as Mayfield Lake resident Kelly Egan. The Lewis County Coroner’s Office has not yet formally released her name, age or cause of death.

The crash was reported at 3:55 p.m. in the 1200 block of Borthwick Street in Centralia. A Chevrolet SUV with two occupants drove into the side of a home, seriously damaging the home’s foundation.

Police and aid units arrived, began CPR and transported Egan to Providence Centralia Hospital in critical condition for a medical emergency.

A second occupant, a young boy, was not injured, according to the police department.

Building inspectors responded and the home, which was unoccupied at the time, was deemed unsafe to occupy due to the structural damage.
