Two Morton residents were involved in a three-vehicle crash in Clallam County Wednesday that injured two people, according to Washington State Patrol.

The crash was the result of a driver suffering a medical event, according to a WSP press release.

Joseph L. Tyler, 54, of Port Angeles at 6:06 p.m. was driving a Suzuki sports utility vehicle eastbound on State Road 101 in Sequim Bay State Park. Tonya M. Tyler, 50, and Zainalabiden Alwaey, 28, both of Port Angeles, were passengers.

Sonya R. White, 58, of Port Angeles was driving a Kia Soul westbound on the same road, and behind her was a Winnebago motorhome driven by Michael J. Moore, 64, of Morton and with Teresa L. Moore, 64, of Morton as a passenger.

The WSP press release states Joseph Tyler lost consciousness while driving due to a medical condition, and veered into the oncoming lane, sideswiping the other two vehicles. The Suzuki then left the roadway and struck several trees.

Joseph Tyler and Tonya Tyler were transported to Olympic Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be contributors to the crash, according to WSP.
