Man Found Dead Behind Centralia Business

As of Thursday morning, police do not believe the death of a man found behind a Centralia business that morning to be suspicious, Sgt. Tracy Murphy told The Chronicle.

The person has been identified as a 59-year-old male with a Chehalis address. His name has not been released.

The man was originally identified as being 49 years old.

Police received a report at 7:09 a.m. Thursday of a deceased person behind a business in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue. He was reportedly lying next to a dumpster.

“There’s nothing that appears suspicious,” Murphy said. “We don’t know at this time if it’s a medical issue or if it was the elements. We have no idea why he was there.”
