Car Totaled After Bursting Into Flames in Centralia

A vehicle was a total loss after it caught on fire Friday afternoon. 

Riverside Fire Authority responded to a report of a vehicle fire at 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Hoss Road in Centralia. 

The owner was driving north on Harrison Avenue when he started to smell smoke and pulled onto Hoss Road. He parked the car, got out and it burst into flames, according to a press release. 

RFA firefighters extinguished the blaze. 

The owner had the car towed from the scene. The vehicle was valued at an estimated $1,600. 

No one was injured in the incident.
