Man Arrested After Bringing Drugs to Rehab

• Matthew J. Perron, 34, of Chehalis, was arrested and booked into jail for alleged possession of heroin after he tried to enter inpatient drug treatment with heroin in his suitcase. Staff at the drug treatment center on the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue called police at 8:11 p.m. Monday to report that after searching a client’s luggage, they located drugs.

Hit and Run

• Officers responded to a hit-and-run collision on Harrison Avenue and Galvin Road at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday.

 

Violation of a Protection Order

• Police took a report of a possible violation of a protection order by phone on the 400 block of West Third Street at 11:33 a.m. Wednesday.

 

Domestic Violence

• Merika G. Olson, 42, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into jail for suspicion of fourth-degree domestic violence on the 1500 block of Pike Street at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Stolen Purse

• A purse left on a gas pump on the 1200 block of Mellen Street at 5:30 p.m. by a customer was reportedly stolen.

 

Stolen Box

• A UPS box was stolen from the front porch of a house on the 900 block of G Street at 5:12 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Fraud

• A victim reported an unauthorized loan in which someone used the victim’s Social Security number. The fraud was reported at 8:44 a.m. Tuesday on the 500 block of East Magnolia Street.

Two Teens Arrested After Joy Ride

• Deputies responded to a vehicle crash on the 700 block of Pleasant Valley Road outside of Chehalis at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. A 15-year-old Chehalis boy lost control of a 1994 Chevrolet truck he was driving and drove off the road into a ditch. He then struck a telephone pole and went into another ditch. The driver and his 16-year-old male passenger, from Napavine, were not hurt. When deputies arrived, they discovered the driver did not have a driver’s license, and that both boys had been out in the area smashing mailboxes when the crash occurred. The 15-year-old was referred for driving without a valid operator’s licenses and both teens will also face malicious mischief charges.
