Dennis Dawes was chosen by his fellow city councilors for another year as mayor of Chehalis Monday evening as he begins what he said will likely be his last term on the council.
Chehalis councilors elect the city’s mayor from among their ranks.
The council also unanimously chose Terry Harris as mayor pro-tem. Dawes, Bob Spahr and Chad Taylor were reelected by voters in unopposed races in November and were officially sworn in to their new terms Monday night.
Chehalis Municipal Court Judge Dale McBeth was also sworn in Monday evening.
