WSECU members and other community residents are invited to a grand opening celebration for the credit union’s new branch location in Chehalis.

The celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 pm Dec. 9 at the WSECU Chehalis branch located at 1725 NW Louisiana Ave.

The event will feature catering from The Crowded Kitchen, refreshments by Lewis County Coffee Co. and cookies from Sweet Dough Cookie Co. A small group ensemble from WF West High School band will perform during the event.

“I’m so pleased we get to invite our members to see the new space like this,” said Stephanie Rhodes, Chehalis branch manager. “We love this community and it’s great to have a chance to welcome them in with this fun event.”

In addition to treats and entertainment, while showcasing the new branch location the credit union will give away reusable travel mugs and its annual member photo calendar, according to a news release.

“It’s going to be a fun celebration,” Rhodes said. “We finally get to have a party bringing us together with our members and the community in this new branch.”

The branch location opened on Sept. 26 with expanded features and options, including safe deposit boxes and drive-thru service.

WSECU has had a presence in Lewis County for 38 years both as a financial institution and as a giving partner for community nonprofits like the United Way and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lewis County, according to the release.
