A 21-year-old Centralia woman was injured after she struck another vehicle while changing lanes on northbound Interstate 5 near Chehalis on Saturday.
After striking the other vehicle at milepost 73, the woman’s vehicle lost control and struck the center Jersey barrier, spun across all three lanes and struck the right guardrail before coming to rest in the right lane, according to the Washington State Patrol, which responded to the crash at 3:25 p.m. on July 6.
She had reportedly tried to merge left from the center lane into the left lane, according to the state patrol. She was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital for medical treatment.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 25-year-old Olympia man, was not injured.
