The Black Hills wrestling team earned a win in a dual against Rochester on Thursday, as the Wolves defeated the Warriors 53-30.
“The boys wrestled well,” Black Hills coach Jason Dick said. “We’re improving.”

The Wolves and Warriors will both head to Centralia to compete in the Centralia Tigers Classic on Saturday.
“We’ll go down and see if we can bring back some medals to Wolf Den,” Dick said.
Seven Wolves finish first at North Mason Girls Mixer
The Black Hills girls wrestling team was also in action on Thursday, and seven Wolves went 3-0 and won at the North Mason Girls Mixer.
Sloane Kruger, Anneliese Dale, Wren Neklason, Nancy Nguyen, Lyllian Hayertz, Izzy Steinebach, and Maddie Payne each won their three matches to come away victorious, while Marlie Voorhies and Averie Reynolds finished second in their brackets.
“They’re working hard,” Dick said. “Coming out with that many winners, that’s a pretty good night.”
