The W.F. West girls golf team battled through wind, rain, and hail at Newaukum Valley on Monday to come away with a 72-39 win over Kelso.
“I’m real happy with the scores,” W.F. West coach Marty Marquez said. “Just the chance to get out there and get going. We’ll get better as the weather gets better, I’m sure.”
Mady Alexander led the Bearcats with a 47, while Paige Duncan posted a 50 and Annabel Moeckel shot a 53.
Lexi Delisle finished the day with a 54, Ava Hamilton logged a 58, and Allie Anderson ended the afternoon with a 60.
The Bearcats will be at Tumwater Valley on Wednesday to face Tumwater in their first league match.
