WF West Men's golf team posted their second-best team score of the year to take down Black Hills,l 204-243, Wednesday at Newaukum Valley Golf Course.
The Bearcats were led by freshman match medalist Ben Halverstadt, who shot a 1-over-par 37. Halverstadt was joined by season-best scores from Brock Bunker and Micah Ethel, who each shot 40. Tukker Rosbach shot a 43 while Dirk Plakinger rounded out the team score with a 44.
Coach Matt Klovdahl said he was proud of how his golfers played in the tough weather conditions.
"All the men are finishing the year well,” Klovdahl said. "They are improving each week and are ready for the postseason.”
The Bearcats are preparing for the League Championship on Monday at Riverside Golf Club and followed by the 2A District 4 Championship, also to be held at Riverside.
