The W.F. West boys basketball team trekked north to Duvall on Friday, and the Bearcats came home with a 56-43 win over Cedarcrest.
The Bearcats trailed after the first quarter, but rebounded to take the lead at halftime and extended that lead throughout the second half.
Carlos Vallejo led W.F. West offensively with 16 points, and Gage Brumfield added 13 points.
Grady Westlund notched a double-double with 13 rebounds and 11 points, and Weston Potter scored nine points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and dished out four assists.
In his first game of the season, Ross Kelley scored six points and had four assists of his own.
W.F. West (3-5) will look to win back-to-back games for the first time this season on Monday at Rochester.
