The W.F. West girls wrestling team only took a partial team south to Ridgefield for the Pac Coast Tournament on Friday, but the Bearcats were still able to finish third on the first day of the two-day event.
Emily Mallonee (135), Aurora Martin (130), and freshman Lucy Hornby (115) earned semifinal berths with three wins each, while five other Bearcats — Georgia Mills (105), Eden Hornby (120), Berkeley Varick (120), Sierra Wood (125), and Gale Steiner (140) — are all still alive in their respective consolation brackets.
The remainder of the Pac Coast Tournament will take place on Saturday at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Ridgefield.
