W.F. West Finishes Third as a Team at Hammerhead Invite

Led by Blake Ely’s 152-pound title run, the W.F. West wrestling team finished third at the Hammerhead Invitational at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds over the weekend. 

The Bearcats scored a total of 192 points, just 11.5 points back of the champion South Kitsap. 



Centralia also had a good showing at the tournament, with Antonio Campos finishing as the 120-pound champ after a first and second round bye, and a couple of pins. Campos pinned his third-round opponent in under a minute, his quarterfinal opponent in 31 seconds, and his semifinal opponent in 30 seconds. 

The won a medal by medical forfeit in the finals, and is currently 10-0 with 10 pins on the season so far. Centralia girls wrestler Jade Hudson also finished fifth in the 115-pound weight class.
