Wasson Brothers Lead Centralia Past Rochester

Though it's certainly not the scores that will live up to their own lofty expectations, the Wasson brothers once again helped Centralia to a 269-286 win over Rochester Monday afternoon at Riverside. 

Led this time by older brother Cole, who shot a 39, the sophomore, Von, shot a 41, to help lead the Tigers to the victory, with Cole taking match medalist honors. Behind them, Rochester’s Xavier Mendes had the Warriors best day, scoring a 53. Centralia’s Brady Sprague and Rochester’s Cooper Rhodeheaver shot the next best score at 55. 

Rounding out the Tigers’ top five was Tukker Weaver, who shot a 63, and Mateo Guerrero, who shot a 71. 



For the Warriors, Brady Moen (56), Braden Hartley (56) and Inigo Simon (66) rounded out the rest of their top five. 

The fall golf season its nearing its end, after matches this week, league qualifying matches will take place at Riverside next Monday before districts on Wednesday and Thursday.
