The Rochester girls basketball team pulled away from Centralia in the second half, keeping the Tigers quiet in a 43-32 win in 2A EvCo action Friday.

“After three games this week, we finally were able to put four quarters together as a team,” Rochester coach Davina Serdahl said.

The Warriors’ defense got better as the night went on; after giving up 12 points in the first quarter, Rochester held Centralia to 12 in the second and third quarters combined, and eight in the fourth.

Delany Winter led Rochester with 14 points, and Roisin Stull had 10 and nine rebounds. Grace Hoover and Mandy Andree-Cordell both added six points.

Brooklyn Sprague had nine points to lead Centralia which didn’t have any players make it into double figures.

Rochester is set to go to Aberdeen next Tuesday, and Centralia will host Tumwater.
