Colton Weiss’ 23 points weren’t enough for the Rochester boys basketball team on Monday, as the Warriors lost to Columbia Adventist 52-45. It’s Rochester's sixth straight loss to open the season.
The Warriors kept pace with the Kodiaks for most of the game, but they were outscored by six in the second quarter and could never quite overcome the deficit.
“We made some progress on both the offensive and defensive ends,” Rochester coach Caleb Sells said. “But we’re still working to put it all together for a full game.”
Beside Weiss, Tristan Nelson scored nine points and hauled in 16 rebounds, and Brayden O’Connor scored six points.
The Warriors (0-6) will look to snap their skid at home against Shelton on Wednesday.
